Our dog is called Cooper. He's 'mostly Lab' (that's the vet's professional opinion :D ie, he's a bit of lots of things, but looks Labby-ish). He's a rescue dog of indeterminate age... we guess he's about 12 by now, and we've had him five years.
M and I decided together to get him, but he turned out to be 'mine'... mostly because he chose me to be his favourite. He's so lovely. I often think about the years he spent in the dogs' home and I'm so glad he came to live with us :) In fact, I often whisper that to him when I'm saying goodnight to him, and I think he's glad too :)
Now, if he could just learn to use a vacuum cleaner and clean up his FUR!
